High precision aluminum, beryllium, and beryllium alloy specialty for PPGI

Northvale, NJ – February 19, 2010 – Photonics Products Group, Inc. (PPGI) was recently awarded firm-fixed price contracts for precision optical components from Lockheed Martin’s [NYSE: LMT] Missile and Fire Control Business Unit in Orlando, Florida. The components are high precision aluminum, beryllium and beryllium alloy optical mirrors for Lot 6 production requirements on the Arrowhead electro-optical system. This is the sixth consecutive award to MRC Optics for Arrowhead aluminum mirrors since 2002 and the second consecutive award for the beryllium and beryllium alloy mirrors.

Beryllium and beryllium structures are manufactured complete at PPGIs own facility in Sarasota, FL. PPGI offers state-of-the-art manufacturing of optical components and sub-assemblies used in a wide variety of applications including thermal imaging and night vision, satellite surveillance systems, reconnaissance and intelligence gathering, fire control/target acquisition and missile systems, as well as large plano optics, beryllium optics, polygon scanners and their refurbishment. All projects are staffed with cross-functional teams that identify and execute the best processing and testing approach for a customer’s specific needs.
